Hunting and Fishing Packages

Hunting Details

At Fort Wahoo, here in KY, we have a vast arrangement and time frames in regards to hunting.  The abundance of Turkeys, Squirrels, and Deer accompanied with over 200 acres of private land which borders C.O.E. property on 3 sides, results in unlimited acreage to hunt. Our cabins are worth the trip whether you hunt or not. Or if you want to hunt, but that special loved one or little one doesn't, or cant, then you have the perfect place for them to stay and relax while you bring home the meat.

Hunting Property Information

The larger area set up for hunting was once managed as a very exclusive Hunt Club for over 20yrs.  It was owned by a local Oil Company so we have good genetics for Deer, and an abundance of small game.  We have six 2-man ladder stands up for Deer Hunting available on a 1st come/1st serve basis.  You can also bring a climber or ground blind and pick your own hunting area.

In order to hunt on this property you must be staying at Fort Wahoo Cabin Rentals and renting a cabin

***Meet 9yr old Nathan Fackler who just acquired this beauty here at Fort Wahoo. .Congratulations little buddy we are super proud of you.

Hunting Guide and Fishing

Prices depend on dates, number of people hunting, and length of stay/hunt.  Please give us a call or contact us via the contact page if you would like to go into more detail with regarding season, cost, or availability of dates. We do offer a hunting guide upon request for the specific reason that hunting in itself is complex.  His name is Gary Cornett and we feel he possesses the additional knowledge and skills required for this sport. He is there to help in any way possible for the experienced to the novice hunter. He will take and show you the area, help get you set up, and even aide in the processing of the animal obtained if you request.  If you have any further questions or would like any other information not listed please contact him at Gary Cornett 859-248-1256.  You can also look up additional hunting information for the state of KY at the Kentucky  Department of Fish and Wildlife  www.fw.ky.gov

For fishing guide services we recommend using D.C Guide Services Dan Chapel.  He knows where all the honey holes are on Lake Cumberland and guarantees a great trip.  Visit him at  www.lakecumberlandfishingguide.com or call Dan at 270-566-0625
